Hockey Stock-01

Our hockey program is dedicated to empowering young athletes aged five and up to develop a lifelong love for hockey. We provide a fun and inclusive environment that fosters essential skills such as teamwork, sportsmanship, and a passion for learning both on and off the ice. Our goal is to create a positive and supportive atmosphere where every player can grow, not just as an athlete but as an individual. Through comprehensive training and engaging activities, we strive to build confidence, character, and a sense of community among our players.

  • Registration opens August 1, 2024
  • KCYHA Member
  • Ages 5 and up
  • Recreational and Competitive Options
  • All off-ice and on-ice sessions, including home games, will be held at AdventHealth Sports Park at Bluhawk
  • Away games will take place across the Kansas City Metro area
  • Practices will be a minimum of 2 times per week. Additional skills and power skating sessions will be available to players who are in the Accelerated Development Program.

Learn to Play

  • Registration opens August 1, 2024
  • 8-week program on Saturdays starting in October (Exact dates TBD)
  • Ages 3 and up
  • USA Hockey-certified coaches and curriculum 
  • Focus on skating, basic hockey skills, and building confidence
  • Benefits include the development of coordination and balance, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a passion for the sport.

Pathway to the Hockey Program

Tiny Hawks: No skating experience needed! Learn basic skating skills and introductory hockey concepts. Perfect for beginners.

  • Jersey and skates provided
  • Required equipment: Helmet with cage, gloves, mouth guard, and stick

 

Little Hawks: Build on skating skills, focusing on control and turning. Learn basic stickhandling, passing, and shooting. 

  • Jersey and skates provided
  • Required equipment: Helmet with cage, gloves, mouth guard, and stick

 

All Stars: Refine skating skills with stops and crossovers. Develop puck handling, passing, and shooting techniques. Fun activities like tag and mini-scrimmages included. Full gear required. Jersey provided

  • Required equipment: Full hockey gear (helmet, gloves, stick, shin pads, pants/breezers)
